LIBERTY LEADING THE PEOPLE

This production consisted on reinterpreting the past in the present. We decided to recreate the famous romantic painting, Liberty Leading the People - by Eugène Delacroix (1830) - which became a symbol of freedom and relentless fight . It was important for us to maintain the message of the original painting; therefore we decided to portrait the fight of multiple minority groups that are currently fighting for their rights and freedom, and to celebrate and give visibility to all the new advancements achieved in the LGTBIQ+ community.
