RECREATION OF “THE SWING”

Still Life Photography

The goal was to create a still life editorial using one or more accessories. We decided to use the Chanel Heart Clutch in lilac from the S22 collection

We wanted to focus all the attention on the bag and after considering different ways of presenting it, we decided we wanted it to be “hanging”, allowing us to play with movement and different angles

This is how the idea of recreating the famous painting “The Swing” by french artist Jean-Honoré Fragonard, came to us; an 18th-century oil painting, considered one of the masterpieces of the Rococo era

In order to recreate the background of the painting we looked for plants that could give us a similar look and create texture and dimension

Making a nod to the fashion industry, we decided to use Gigi Hadid’s Barbie doll and dress her as an 18th-century young girl
