One summer day my grandma told me

that every time i was in pain

I should lay on my stomach

And it will go away

And if it doesn’t, Then

i should put my fist between my emptiness and the bed,

so i can fill the gaps to breathe again

So that’s what I’ve been doing since then

Every time I started shaking

i would lay down on my stomach

hearing my heart beating wildly in my ears

feeling the blood being pumped through my veins

repeating myself quietly in my head

that everything was gonna be okay

like a broken record

so I would never forget

And it spoke to the body

Because the pain soothed away

I will forever remember you

you were with me during the scariest most painful moments.

Thank you grandma. I will forever love you
